Squee... New avatar 'cause I'm loving how this is turning out right now ^^ Compared to the darker one the original is WAY light... Of course... the darker one is... WAY dark... Dunno

You can pick and choose for now XD I'm still working with it to make her headgear the way I want it. X3 Yay!! Is my coloring improving? Or does it still suck completely? x3

EDIT|| I like it dark, but I went over board on the one in the comparision x3 So I'll leave it as it is right now... I'm gonna try doing the rest of the picture once this is finished... x.x

Enigma49:was nice enough to darken up the original so that it was FAR more pleasing than what I had! X3 Thank you very much!

I'd say it depends on what mood you want; the darker one is a more 'evil laughter' feel, while the lighter one is a more "sly look" feeling...

I'm going with the lighter one, since you can tell more of what it is, but perhaps if you tried to outline the darker one with a lighter colour? o.o The colouring did improve, though I did barely get to see your other cg'ed art. ^^;

Try using Exposure in Photoshop (Image > Adjustments > Exposure...). Play around with the exposure and the offset.

Good job on that drawing by the way. ;)

I use Open Canvas and some other photo program that came on our computer. x3 Microsoft Picture It! Premium 10 ...<-- That's usually where I'll play with the lighting and effects.

Awesome, I love Open Canvas! But unfortunately from what I can tell it can't change an image's exposure.
